Bioimplantology and Regenerative Medicine: CREATIC at Bioimplantology 2025 in Brno
A team from the Centre of Excellence CREATIC, represented by Petra Vidláková, Marie Mlnaříková, Petra Pejšková and Tomáš Kaško, took part again this year in the international conference Bioimplantology 2025 in Brno. The event traditionally brings together leading clinicians, scientists and materials engineers from across the Czech Republic to share expertise and to explore how the latest biomaterials can be translated into effective clinical practice. advanced biomaterials to clinical reconstruction
The programme focused on rapidly evolving approaches in bioimplantology and related surgical disciplines. Discussions covered biocomposites, highly durable materials and their application in procedures such as surgical reconstructions, transplantation, wound healing and tissue modelling. Speakers and participants addressed both the performance requirements placed on materials in demanding clinical settings and the pathways by which research outcomes can be safely and efficiently implemented in patient care.
Regeneration as a growing clinical priority
A prominent topic was the expanding field of regenerative medicine, including emerging perspectives on the regeneration of the gut microbiota as part of innovative therapeutic strategies. This area is gaining increasing attention for its potential to influence recovery and treatment outcomes in a range of conditions, and it is becoming an important component of broader regenerative approaches.
A platform for knowledge exchange across disciplines
Bioimplantology 2025 offered a wide range of high quality, current insights and, importantly, connected professional communities whose collaboration is essential for progress in advanced therapies. For CREATIC, such interdisciplinary dialogue is directly relevant to the development of next generation therapeutic solutions, where clinical needs, biological understanding and material innovation must align from the earliest stages of research through to real world application.
