CREATIC at Prague.bio x CEITEC Working Meeting: Building New Pathways for Collaboration
CREATIC took part in a working meeting organised by the Prague.bio platform in cooperation with CEITEC – Central European Institute of Technology. The event brought together research and innovation stakeholders to introduce their activities, map complementary expertise and identify new opportunities for collaboration across the Czech biotech ecosystem.
Prague.bio connects key actors from the public, academic and private sectors. Its ambition is to help cultivate the local biotechnology ecosystem while also strengthening its visibility and competitiveness internationally. Meetings of this type provide a practical space to align priorities, share capacity and accelerate the translation of promising ideas into real-world solutions.
CREATIC was represented by MUDr. Jiří Deml, who highlighted the centre’s distinctive role within the advanced therapy landscape. CREATIC is not positioned solely as a research organisation or a manufacturing facility. Instead, it aims to connect the full medicinal product life cycle – from fundamental research through clinical trials, pharmacovigilance and reimbursement discussions to the implementation of results in clinical practice. This integrated approach is supported by dedicated regulatory expertise, the ongoing development of data science capabilities and active engagement in education and capacity building.
CREATIC builds on more than 15 years of experience, including 10 years as part of the national clinical research infrastructure CZECRIN. This foundation is complemented by tangible outcomes – including two products already in use that are delivering benefit to patients today.
The centre’s capabilities are also expanding. Following the ongoing reconstruction, CREATIC will have approximately 1,000 m² of cleanroom facilities covering all cleanliness classes, including the highest-level environments available in the Czech Republic. The new infrastructure will comprise four fully integrated units and will be operated in GMP quality, providing robust conditions for the development and future production of advanced therapies.
