This year’s Researchers’ Night at Masaryk University attracted nearly 7,000 visitors, and CREATIC was proud to be part of it. Together with the patient organization DEBRA Czech Republic, we invited children and adults alike to explore the fascinating world of mesenchymal cells and discover how advanced research is translated into meaningful support for patients.

Our stand focused on science that heals. Visitors learned about mesenchymal stromal cells and their role in modern medicine, particularly in wound healing. Through playful and interactive activities, they could step into the shoes of a researcher, explore microscopic images, and better understand how cells divide, grow, and contribute to the formation of new tissues.

A key part of the presentation was dedicated to patients living with epidermolysis bullosa, also known as butterfly disease. For these patients, CREATIC is developing and manufacturing a medicinal product designed to support wound healing and reduce inflammation. Presenting this topic in cooperation with DEBRA Czech Republic also gave visitors the opportunity to connect scientific innovation with the real stories of patients whose lives may be changed by research.

The programme at our stand included a tactile game focused on where cells can be found in the human body, a chance to try on a researcher’s coverall, and activities using microscopic imagery to introduce the hidden world of cells. Visitors could also view an exhibition of patient stories prepared in collaboration with DEBRA Czech Republic, bringing a human dimension to the scientific themes presented throughout the evening.

It was especially encouraging to see how enthusiastically even the youngest visitors engaged with the activities and showed genuine curiosity about how science can make a difference. The atmosphere of the evening was both inspiring and playful, proving once again that research can be communicated in ways that are accessible, meaningful, and memorable.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and shared this special evening with us. Events such as Researchers’ Night are a valuable opportunity to open the doors of science to the public and to show how research, medicine, and patient needs come together in the development of advanced therapies.
