The CREATIC Centre of Excellence of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno was established on 1 January 2024 and focuses on research, development and GMP production of cell and gene therapies (ATMP) for the treatment of selected rare diseases. The centre also addresses the availability, regulatory and reimbursement aspects of ATMP drugs, allowing for a sustainable price ("FAIR price") and better accessibility for patients.
We cooperate with the Fraunhofer Institute IZI (Germany), the University of Leipzig (Germany) and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). The establishment of the centre is supported by the prestigious European grant Teaming for Excellence and a grant from the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports for the next 6 years.
