Ondřej Slabý is a professor and the Head of the Institute of Biology at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in Brno. A prominent figure in his field, he leads a research group at CEITEC MU and recently became the Head of the Research Division at the CREATIC Center of Excellence. Furthermore, Professor Slabý is the founder and Director of the Center for Precision Medicine at the Brno University Hospital.

As a board-certified clinical geneticist, his work primarily focuses on applied research in tumor genomics and rare diseases. Widely recognized as a pioneer of precision medicine in the Czech Republic, he currently serves as the Chairman of the Czech Health Research Agency. His extensive contributions to medical science have earned him numerous prestigious accolades, including two Minister of Health Awards for Medical Research and Development, the South Moravian Region Award, and the Czech Oncology Society Award.
