CREATIC was founded on January 1
CREATIC is now officially part of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University as a center of excellence. Pavilion C03 of the Bohunice University Campus will be renovated with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports and OP JAC.
The journey of the CREATIC center began exactly one year ago at the time of Advent. At that time, the project caught the attention of the European Research Executive Agency (REA), where it succeeded in huge international competition and thus received support from the prestigious Teaming for Excellence challenge of the Horizon Europe programme.
At the beginning of this year, on January 1, 2024, the Central European Advanced Therapy and Immunotherapy Center (CREATIC) officially joined the structure of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University as a Centre of Excellence.
Top European partners Fraunhofer IZI, Universität Leipzig and Københavns Universitet are involved in the project to share their knowledge and experience.
The mission of the CREATIC center is to provide excellent research, development and production of medicinal products for modern therapies. To create pathways to affordable cell and gene therapy for rare and undiagnosed diseases. And last but not least, share know-how across Europe, support transparent financing and an agile approach to LPMT/ATMP approval.
Thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports from OP JAC, we will create almost 1000 m2 of clean GMP space, renovate cell therapy laboratories and build 4 gene therapy laboratories. All this without disrupting operations in existing laboratories.
