Centre of Excellence CREATIC will be part of Rare Disease Day
A Rare Disease Day full of information about new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with rare diseases will take place. Lenka Součková will also be present, who will lead her own workshop for the CREATIC center on the topic of patient involvement in clinical trials.
On February 22, 2024, Rare Disease Day will take place in Brno, which will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on the University Campus of Masaryk University. The seminar is organized by the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and its Department of Medical Genetics and Genomics and the Brno University Hospital in cooperation with the Czech Association for Rare Diseases (ČAVO) and the National Coordination Center for Rare Diseases at the University Hospital in Motol.
The program will include interesting topics such as diagnosis of rare diseases, care of patients with rare diseases, hereditary predisposition to cancerous hematopoietic diseases and many others.
The MUNI | CREATIC seminar will also be included. It is intended mainly for patient organizations and will focus on the possibilities of patient engagement in clinical trials. Our colleague Lenka Součková, who works as the European correspondent of the ECRIN network, will, among other things, show how information from clinical trial registries can be used, how the design of clinical trials can influence the patient, and she will present an offer of educational opportunities for patient organizations.
